The newest addition to our store is for kids that are a bit older than most of our other other toys but we just couldn’t pass up on these catapult kits when we saw them. They are manufactured by a company in Texas called RLT Industries and all the components are sourced here in the USA. All of the kits are a combination of wood, twine and leather. There are no metal or plastic parts and all of the kits come as natural wood so you can finish them with whatever color stain or paint that you want.

We love these wooden catapult kits for several reasons. First, they are a unique and well-made product that is made right here in the good old USA. It’s not often that you come across something new like this. Secondly, they are a great learning aid. They teach children how to build, how to create and teach them some very important physics concepts. They can tweak the design, alter the projectile, change the tension and see how it affects how the machine works. Lastly, it is a great way to introduce your child to an important part of world history. These siege engines were truly amazing for their time and they decided where the lines on the map would be drawn.

Many people buy these kits as teaching/learning aids and some kits are ideal for science and history fair projects. We got in our first shipment of these model kits a week ago and sold out of two of them right away. We are expecting a much larger shipment in another week and are excited about expanding our store to serve a broader age range as we continue to grow our store.

You can take a look at what we have available at Wooden Catapult Model Kits.

These wooden Air Force One planes are limited edition toys. Once they sell out, the manufacturer will not make any more of them. Each Air Force One plane features the image and name of one of our Presidents along with the date they were sworn into office.

These toys are Made in the USA by a company called Holgate toys that has been making wooden since the 1700’s. A company that has been around for that long knows what they are doing. The toys they produce are excellent quality and made with materials that are safe for your little one.

We like these commemorative Air Force One planes because they serve more than one purpose. They are educational, they are collectible, they will help you teach your children a little bit about our government and most importantly, they are fun to play with. Check out our selection of Presidential Air Force One Toy Planes.

AmazingChildhood.com was launched in 2009 so this was our first holiday shopping season and I am glad to say that we survived it and did well. It’s been a long first year, lot of work goes into launching an Ecommerce company and we are trying to do things right from the start with a plan for slow growth to hopefully minimize any mistakes we make along the way. We are very grateful to all of the customers that put their trust in us and did some of their holiday shopping on AmazingChildhood.com. Thank You!

Our Classic Bingo Bed from Holgate Toys has consistently been one of our top 10 sellers all year long but it was by far the best selling items over the holidays. We weren’t surprised that it was one of our top sellers but we were a little surprised by how quickly it rose to the top this December and stayed at the top. Not because it’s not a great toy, it is, it’s one of my son’s favorites, we just didn’t expect to sell as many as we did. Thankfully we were able to keep it in-stock and fulfilled every order on time.

The bingo bed is Made in the USA out of locally harvested hard woods by Holgate Toys. The bingo bed is one of their oldest designs and nothing has changed in many years. It’s a classic toy, loads of fun and as with all Holgate toys, it’s guaranteed for life. The bingo bed is educational, it teaches children how to manipulate shapes, color and helps develop their motor skills. Check it out at Holgates Bingo Bed.
