I have fond memories of sledding down the hill at the local park on my flexible flyer wooden sled as a kid. As I got older they got less and less popular and started getting replaced by cheaper plastic sleds. They were new and different so I had a lot of fun on them for awhile but really began to miss my wooden sled. I have no idea what happened to it. As I got older and starting having children, I started looking for wooden sleds like I had as a kid. The plastic sleds were everywhere but I did find a flexible flyer at one of the big box storees but much to my dismay, it wasn't made as well as I remembered.
I had just about given up when I met up with Moutain Boy Sledworks at Toy Fair (an industry only toy show). What they had was better than what I remembered. The wooden sleds they made were heirloom quality and were just beautiful. You could tell that the people who made this product, loved to sled and loved wood working. We knew it was a product we needed to carry on AmazingChildhood.com
