Overview
Blast your way through barbarian invaders with this desktop onager catapult model kit
Description

An Onager is a type of catapult that was used as the main artillery weapon by the Roman army. It got the name Onager after an Asian wild ass because of it's tendency to kick when used. The Onagers were used to hurl heavy rocks and clay pots filled with pitch and tar and set on fire.

This desktop version is perfect for protecting your desk, office or dorm room. It has no plastic or metal parts, it is made of wood, leather and twine. It comes with detailed instructions that feature color pictures and historical notes. They can be assembled with a few basic tools like scissors, utility knife and glue and when finished, will hurl a projectile 10 - 20 feet! The kit includes wooden balls that you can use to try it out but use your imagination and I am sure you can find some other things to hurl across your room with it.

The kit pictured is finished with a red oak stain but the actual kit is bare wood like the smaller picture to the right depicts. You can stain it or paint it any color you like. On average the kit takes 2 - 3 hours to assemble plus drying time.
