The desktop trebuchet kit can hurl a projectile 10 - 20 feet and can be assembled with very basic tools. They say that it takes 2 - 4 hours to assemble and that is pretty accurate. I bought this kit for my nephews birthday and helped him put it together, it took us just under 3 hours.
